Woman at the Pru | Movie News
Nubile British ingenue Felicity Jones has joined the cast of Ricky Gervais' period dramedy THE MEN AT THE PRU (and who the IMDB seems to think has been renamed CEMETERY JUNCTION). The story centers on three men in their 20s who work at an insurance company (the titular Pru is short for Prudential) in the 1970s. Gervais, of course, wrote the script and will be directing and producing with long time collaborator Stephen Merchant. Jones will play a woman who's constantly told a woman's place is in the home, making and raising babies but who secretly wants to pursue a career in photography. Jones was most recently in the period dramedy CHERI and can next be seen alongside Russell Brand, Alfred Molina, Alan Cumming, Helen Mirren and a bunch of other famous folk in Julie Taymor's take on THE TEMPEST. Gervais is currently putting the finishing touches on his high concept comedy THIS SIDE OF THE TRUTH.

Extra Tidbit: Jones was born in Birmingham, West Midlands, England.

Week sixty-two - April 2009
NEWS FLASH
You may have read certain reports saying something like "actress to play Gervais' leading lady in Men from the Pru"
All true except for...
1. That info is unofficial and should never have been released. We haven't even signed a deal for that part yet.

1. That info is unofficial and should never have been released. We haven't even signed a deal for that part yet.
2. There is no "lead" in this film as it's an ensemble piece.
3. She's not MY character's leading lady, I play one of the dads for christ sake.
4. It's called CEMETERY FUCKING JUNCTION FOR FUCK'S FUCKING SAKE.
Apart from that it's a superb press release by some cunt.
Thank you.
