they havent mention the casting for Iceman,Angel or Jean Grey for that matter AND if and its a big IF they are in the movie who are they going to cast to play them? im thinking they could probably bring back Shawn Ashmore or his brother Aaron Ashmore to play Iceman(isnt Aaron younger than Shawn?) Fanken Janssen(sp?)would be too old to play a young Jean Grey and if they continue with casting mutants it will turn into another X3 of a mess

But I don't think there's any reason to complain about the characters they are chosing. So far, that is. You gotta think Moira was around at this time. What if they have Banshee romantically linked to her already? So what? Havok is Cyclops' brother, right? What if he's only in it for 2 minutes? So what? What if they have Emma Frost recruiting at the exact same time Xavier is? That'd be cool, I think. Now its down to Bacon's casting? I think it'd be terrible to bring in a heavy like

Bacon seems like such a strange choice that ultimately it is incredible casting. He can definitely pull off a pissed, brooding or rage-filled character quite spectacularly. However, in terms of the number of mutants, it does sound like everyone and their Mum is getting cast. But we don't know to what extent they're going to be shown in the movie.

So there's a villain besides Magneto? Suuu-weeet! Because come on, seriously, Magneto's hogged more than enough movies, we don't have to see how and when he started being an a-hole of a friend to Prof.X. I mean we are already...but at least now there's wind of more than one bad guy...so flying paperclips won't be the only threat in the flick.

Core Group...

That's what we need here, the "core group" as Mr. Tassi says in his article. We don't need Cyclops brother Havoc, Banshee or Emma Frost. They weren't around when the team was formed and don't need to be around now (unless they do a flashback w/Havoc or something). Let's not get too top heavy guys or we'll have Wolverine II or X-Men III.

Kevin Bacon in any movie makes said movie better. I am loving everything I am hearing about this movie and am so glad that the X-Men franchise is getting itself together again.

BTW, he was awesome in Death Sentence.

They should have him play Mr. Sinister, that would make sence since Sinister tried to take Cyclops's powers to combine DNA's and make a mutant hybrid, the addition of Havok makes sence too since he's Cyclops's younger brother.

I'm very impressed with the casting so far, I just wish it was for a more adult-centric series of X-MEN films.

I'm dreading this turning out to be more X-MEN SCHOOL MUSICAL than the X-MEN film we actually want to see.

i kinda wish they would just turn x-men into a series like smallville instead of turning out movies that don't fully satisfy the stories of all of the x-men. it would be like heroes but with the original material.
