Lets be honest, there's a ton of stars in Hollywood today who defy the traditonal look of a "hotty", Ron Perlman springs to mind, he's a guy who's built his career on just being a big gruff, rather unattractive son of a bitch, hasn't hurt his star none. Give the kid a chance, if he's got some acting props he might surprise everyone and win an oscar in a few years.

why would someone let his child (or why would the child..) play a role for which he has obviously been chosen for his "rare" looks?

I mean I get the money and fame issue...but isnt it a little humiliating?
