Your Name Here poster

Independent movies that try to ape the Charlie Kaufman aesthetic always have high potential, and a lot of the times work out, like AMERICAN SPLENDOR. But itís wrong of me to categorize a film as Kaufmanesque just because itís paranoid and eccentric. Thatís typical Hollywood indie quirk, and the film YOUR NAME HERE fits very nicely into this category, judging by the poster. The film stars Bill Pullman in a biopic of sci-fi author William J. Frick. Itís set in the final days of his life, when he was dead broke and trying to finish a literary masterpiece. Apparently he ends up living it. See what I mean by Kaufmanesque? Check out the poster BELOW.

Extra Tidbit: This is director Matthew Wilder's writing and directorial debut.

I'll agree with Hoyle. i didn't understand the absence of bill pullman myself. he's very awesome. lost highway was so bitchin. as is many other things that he's done. i mean...it's bill pullman.

Actually, I never really understood why Pullman sorta fell out of favor in the industry. He's been in some of my favorite movies, and he always seemed the perfect supporting player if nobody wanted to give him a star-turn. So ignoring the parallels with some other indie movies of some reknown, I hope this thing really does well.

I agree with FireCaptain. Pullman definitely needs a role like this to re-ignite his career.

Awesome poster, too.

I Dig that poster, for some reason...

... you can't get much more retro than that!

Well, I like Bill Pullman, even if he's been in some bad movies. He needs an eccentric role like this.
