Ladies and gentlemen, the MPAA does it again. Kevin Smith’s latest ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO has received the ratings kiss of death. NC-17. The reason? “Some graphic sexuality.” So let me get this straight. In the last year onscreen I have seen women raped, heads blown to bits, limbs removed from bodies and Ryan Reynolds attempt to act. Yet somehow, a low-budget comedy that I will assume deals with sex comically and realistically is forbidden to those with an untrained eye. Now the overwhleming task lies on the shoulders of one Kevin Smith to chop this film all the way to an R rating and make it commercially viable. Goddamn I love Hollywood.
