Zack Snyder teases us about Superman appearing in Justice League + new pic

While the hype surrounding Zack Snyder’s forthcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE film has been strong, the details as to Superman’s involvement in the project have remained mysterious at best. Then, while participating in a featured story for Empire Magazine, Snyder made the following remark regarding the Man of Steel’s inclusion in the biggest DC Entertainment film to date:

Superman does play a big part in this movie," he tells us, cryptically. "His presence, and lack of presence, are big story points…

Uh huh. Thanks Zach, could this quote be any more ominous? Here’s the score, folks. The JUSTICE LEAGUE film looks to bring the characters Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) together for the first time, so to think that Superman (Henry Cavill) wouldn’t play an integral part in the story just sounds ludicrous, to me.

Additionally, included in the Empire article is this sweet hi-res image from the film:

As you may recall, Superman took a dirt nap at the end of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, so it would make sense that Snyder would use JUSTICE LEAGUE as a platform to continue that thread, and clue fans in as to the fate of Big Blue. It’s also to note that, in recent months, Henry Cavill teased us all with an image of a black Superman suit – a costume that he wore after his resurrection in the DC Comics continuity.

Thankfully, it won’t be long until we get some answers, seeing as JUSTICE LEAGUE opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
