Zack Snyder talks about wrapping Batman V Superman plus a whole lot more

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

With a film as big as BATMAN V SUPERMAN, there's a lot of tidbits floating around out there and a few mentioned in this article may be considered somewhat spoilery, so if you're looking to go into DAWN OF JUSTICE fresh, look away!. First up on the docket is some business about Zack Snyder calling into CBS Detroit to discuss the flick. This wouldn't be the first time he's called in, having previously called the station to defend Aquaman. He spoke a little bit about that previous conversation, plus wrapping up filming sometime soon.

Regarding his previous call on Aquaman:

I think the last time I called, we talked a little bit about Aquaman, but it hadn't been announced that Jason Momoa was gonna play Aquaman. I was trying to protect you guys from his wrath. The man is a monster. The guy is awesome and he's so passionate. I was hanging out with him here in Detroit and he was loving on it so hard. He’s a great guy, but like I say not a small individual.

Finishing up shooting in Detroit and beyond:

I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for being strong supporters of the movie and coming down and saying hey, and just, I’ve had a great time in Michigan, I just wanted to say thanks to you guys and just to Detroit itself. I know this is the venue for talking to all of Detroit. We head to Chicago after this, then a couple more locations, but we're getting close [to wrapping completely].

Interesting to note that shooting is somewhat nearing completion on the mammoth project, especially considering that the film won't hit audiences until March of 2016. However, I'm sure Snyder will be plenty busy on post-production, not to mention the two JUSTICE LEAGUE films the man has to start prepping for. Before we get ahead of yourselves though, some filming was done recently on an integral landmark for the Wayne family.

I've never really gotten into the angle of his dead parents and how it drove him to do what he does (or, at least, ignited that fire) but I'll be curious to see how this resting place will play a role in the film, beyond Bruce just hanging out there, looking sad.  One thing that's for sure is that he'll be looking pretty buff while doing it (this is what we call a segue folks)!  Batman-News has reported some information from a source that spoke with Ben Affleck's trainer, Rehan Jalali. What the trainer did spill is nothing groundbreaking, but does confirm a few things that were highly probable.

  • There are two Batsuits.
  • The armored suit has Kryptonite all over it, and it can shoot missiles.
  • There are two Batmobiles.
  • Affleck has a shirtless scene as Bruce Wayne to show off his new physique.
  • The shirtless scene is beautifully shot and shows Affleck overlooking a destroyed city.

For those who've checked out the leaked Con footage, you've seen the armored Batsuit. Regarding the two Batmobiles, they are perhaps referencing the Batwing? As for shirtless Affleck . . . well, given his stint in GONE GIRL, I'm sure shirtless is just a walk in the park. All this Batnews will be wrapped up with none other than news on actual bats. Given the importance of them on BATMAN V SUPERMAN, Zack Snyder showed a little more interest regarding some issues going down with our bug-eating friends.  The following video was issued by Warner Bros. that shows Snyder, Affleck and Amy Adams working with savebat.org to help spread the word and garner some support for our winged friends.  Now, if only the teaser that's supposedly accompanying THE HOBBIT would hit the internet a little early . . .
