Zack Snyder tweets a glimpse at some Justice League costumes

02.22.2016

There's still a little over a month to go until BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE hits theaters, but director Zack Snyder has already been hard at work on his two-part JUSTICE LEAGUE epic for some time. Earlier today we learned that filming on THE JUSTICE LEAGUE is set to get underway on April 11th. Some rumours have been floating around that Warners Bros. haven't been totally confident in Zack Snyder's vision and were considering delaying JUSTICE LEAGUE, but Zack Snyder took to Twitter today to share a small peek at the production of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE, and perhaps to put a few of those rumours to rest.

In the tweeted photo we see Zack Snyder talking some JUSTICE LEAGUE with Jason Momoa (Aquaman), but the more interesting bits appear way in the background with a look at several costumes from the upcoming film, including one for The Flash (Ezra Miller) on the far left. Here's an expanded view for a slightly better look.

THE JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.

What are the other suits? Flash is obviously in the back, Aquaman in the middle, but what about the black suit? Doesn't look much like Batman.. Also what up with the mannequin with its lower face covered??

I would be 100% okay with them cancelling the Green Lantern Corps movie and bringing Green Lantern to TV instead.

I'm not one of the vocal tribe who hated Man Of Steel, but even I'm not entirely sure Snyder is the right guy to develop the bulk of the DC cinematic universe. Still, we'll know one way or the other after Bats v Supes comes out, won't we.

Sp glad others agree on Snyder.

He's such a boring filmmaker. He's what Michael Bay would be without good script writers.... the few times that he had them. His biggest film is arguably 300 which had almost zero plot to it. How he got this gig baffles me.

300 was an easy movie to make. He essentially took the comic frame for frame as his story board and script. No real insight from the director in adapting it. I credit for that movie being so good goes to Gerard Butler and the cinematographer.

Really excited to see the Flash in action and what the effects will be like when he actually is using his superpowers.

And I can't absolutely can't wait to see what this DCU version of Green Lantern will look like.

Why Zack Snyder?

What horrible information do you think Snyder has on a WB bigwig? That's the only explanation I have for WB handing him the reins to their entire DC movie universe. Man of Steel was a (relatively modest) hit, but failed to meet expectations and left many fans uninterested in future DC movies. Sucker Punch bombed. Watchmen bombed. It's not out of the question that Batman v Superman loses tons of money on it's $400 budget either.

Marvel gave the reins to Joss Whedon. He had directed one movie. And it bombed. He seemed to do ok.
We shall see how many fans are "uninterested" in future DC movies. Do you really think this movie is going to not make back it's budget? A movie where the 2 most recognized superheroes in the world fight each other, is probably going to draw a few eyeballs. The foreign box office for 'MoS" was over $100 million more than domestic. It may not meet the lofty goal I am sure they set. But, there

It's a far cry to say a movie featuring both Superman and Batman will not make back their budget, at least. Chances are they turn a profit on the film. Whether the movie itself is actually good, that is yet to be seen. But if you're talking strictly financials, not a chance the movie bombs.

Keep in mind, the other movies you mentioned by Snyder that did bomb were relatively unknown stories. No one outside of comic book fandom knows about Watchmen, so there was barely a target audience at

No one outside of comic book fandom knows about Watchmen, so there was barely a target audience at the time. And Sucker Punch was an original script that was stupid. We're talking about a movie where two of the most recognized characters in the 20th century will be sharing the screen. It doesn't matter who directed it, or how good it is, the audiences are going to show up.

MOS relatively modest hit? Until Deadpool... it was the highest grossing opening weekend superhero origin movie. And this is only 6-7 years after that crappy Superman Returns. It beat out Spiderman, Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, and even Batman. It's the 2nd highest selling superhero dvd/bluray... second only to Guardians.

I'm loving Marvel, loving DC. (I wish Image would get their crap together.) Non fanboys are loving all these movies. There's not a single follow up that hasn't made

The proof is in the pudding. I don't see why people feel the need be such presumptuous elitist jerks when they have no basis or data that backs up what they are saying.

"MoS" made almost $700 million worldwide. A lot of films would enjoy that "modest" box office.
"300" made almost half a billion dollars on a $65 million dollar budget.
"Dawn of the Dead" quadrupled it's budget.
"Sucker Punch", as awful as it was...still matched it's budget, at the box office.
"Watchmen" made over $50 million over it's budget.
And that's not counting blu-ray and digital sales.
My point here is...that guy has shown that he can turn a profit. He has a different style, so

@Jason77520

You're right, MOS had one of the biggest openings. But the movie sucked so hard that it also had one of the biggest second weekend drops, comparable only to Ang Lee's The Hulk. In the end it made only slightly more that Superman Returns domestically (and Returns opened weak, on less screens, and had no 3D upcharges). After the massive first weekend everyone knew MOS was guaranteed to make over $1billion world wide, but it dropped hard. Bad reviews and lack of staying power cut it

@Dachande
Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinions. As for the dropoff, World War Z and Monsters University opened the very next weekend, then Pacific Rim and Despicable Me 2. Was a great summer for movies, if not a little crowded. Overall it had the 5th highest gross on the year. The dvd/bluray sales I've already mentioned. Again you are entitled to your opinion, but those 2 facts that I've sited should say something for how the movie was received overall and it's staying power

I'm not a movie snob. Not every movie can be a Godfather. Well those guys can keep their Oscars... I'll enjoy my popcorn.

I actually shouted "it's the flash!!" when I saw that pic. I'm in the boat that's hesitant with Snyder's storytelling abilities, but I know with certainty that with him behind the camera the JLA will at least LOOK stunning when we see them on the silver screen for the first time. It really is just an amazing time to be a fan!

Really not convinced. I'm absolutely certain that Ayer's Suicide Squad and Affleck's Batman film will be light years beyond anything Snyder has or will ever do for DC.

I'd have to agree with that. Both are much more competent filmmakers than Snyder. I'm not sure if BvS will be any good. But even if it fails in generating interest for a wider DCCU on it's own, I feel like SS will bring back the crowds to get them on board.
