Zoe Saldana joins cast of My Little Pony movie

So apparently there's going to be a new MY LITTLE PONY movie in the works, based on the popular Hasbro toys (and, more specifically, the most recent animated incarnation). This will be the third MY LITTLE PONY feature film, following the original 1986 version, and the weird DeviantArt come to life MY LITTLE PONY: EQUESTRIA GIRLS.

And so far, besides the main core cast of Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, and Tabitha St. Germain, the film is boasting an all-star ensemble, with Emily Blunt, Michael Pena, Sia, and Liev Schreiber, among others, along for the ride.

Well, we can now add Gamora herself, Zoe Saldana, to the list! All the roles so far seem to be unspecified, but that shouldn't be for long.

Besides that, Hasbro has also released a new, official logo for the film. Let's take a look:

Now, I never got into this show (so I was never a "Brony" or anything), but I had friends who were, and honestly the show looked fun for what it was (I'm just a sad, miserable husk of flesh, so whimsy is anathema to me). Regardless, I see no reason why fun, colorful things have to be gendered. Let's just hope the film is good, and works for everypony in all walks of life.

MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE will trot to theaters October 6th, 2017.

Extra Tidbit: Looking up MY LITTLE PONY on Google images for this article was...a harrowing experience, to say the least.

So, so, SO hip to this

This is the one 2017 movie that's got me enormously hyped. That logo...so shiny, so beautiful, so reminiscent of Lisa Frank. I'm in love. If anything deserves a film, it's FiM. And if you haven't yet been initiated into bronydom and/or Pegasisterhood, I can only urge you to head straight to Netflix and join the herd right now. The cast is what's REALLY telling me this is gonna be good--hopefully like several of the best episodes combined and amplified. Kristin Chenoweth, Sia, Emily Blunt, and

Kristin Chenoweth, Sia, Emily Blunt, and Taye Diggs mean it's going to be a proper musical (and the show itself is packed with music worthy of a Broadway show.) Plus Uzo Aduba, Liev, Michael, and Zoe so far...it's looking good. Looking very, very good.

That's actually a pretty good cast with Blunt, Saldana, Pena, and Schrieber.

I think you just need a hug.

And a stick out of your ass.
