Zoinks! Supernatural’s Scooby-Doo crossover finally has a hilarious trailer!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

While Marvel is busy touting their upcoming AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR movie as "the most ambitious crossover event in history," I'm over here stuffing my face with Scooby-Snacks and watching the new trailer for Supernatural's "ScoobyNatural" episode like, "Pshh, Thanos ain't got nothin' on my dog, Scoob."

Set to air on March 29th at 8 p.m. ET on The CW, "ScoobyNatural" will find Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel (Misha Collins) transported into the animated world of Scooby Doo where they join forces with the Scooby gang to solve a ghostly mystery. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Jim Krieg & Jeremy Adams. For the special animated episode, the cast of and crew of SUPERNATURAL have been joined by animation director Spike Brandt and Warner Bros. Animation to make this highly-anticipated crossover happen.

After doing a bit of digging, we've discovered that the animated mystery is likely to begin after the Winchesters are offered a free TV thanks to a pawnshop owner who feels the boys deserve a reward for their very specific brand of services to the community. After powering up the old school device, the brothers get sucked into the TV and end up in an episode of Scooby-Doo. While that might sound like a blast for the CW's wayward sons, the duo soon discover that if you die in the cartoon, you die for real. With their new circumstances laid out in front of them, Dean and Sam must team with characters Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake, Fred Jones, Shaggy Rogers, and Scooby-Doo to solve the case.

The crossover that SUPERNATURAL fans have been waiting for will air on The CW March 29 at 8 p.m. ET. Will you be tuning in? Are you more of a Velma or Daphne fan? Who do you think can eat more cartoon submarine sandwiches, Dean or Shaggy? Will one of the Scooby crew find themselves infatuated with Sam? Could that member of the team be Freddy? All of these answers to these questions and much more will be revealed when the episode goes live at the end of this month. Enjoy yourselves, Hunters!
