Strike Back below!
by: Mike Sampson Dec. 9, 2009

I haven't been watching the "Clone Wars" TV series (the movie turned me off to animated STAR WARS for quite some time) but apparently last week's episode involved zombies in some form or another. This prompted artist Matt Busch (who has done some official work for the STAR WARS universe) to create six posters that would reimagine the films as zombie movies. The posters were at one point posted on the official STAR WARS site but was pulled and left with a message "Zombies? Here on StarWars.com? I don't know what you're talking about.. I'm not either but these are pretty impressive pieces of artwork and I hope Lucas and his boys didn't put the kibosh on it. Check out the posters below!

Natalie Portman already played a zombie in the prequels. So did Jake Lloyd.

I love how Palpatine doesn't look any different in the Episode III poster.

Ani!?!?
didn't have to change young Anakin much, did they. Guess the kids deadpan expression was zombie like enough... love the untouched Emperor as well.

Eh Could make for an interesting game. It would be interesting to see a jedi vs several hundred zombies.

It's good stuff. I like the cross-genres in the fiction.

Almost done with the book. It's a fun, quick read. They're sicko zombies for anyone who's interested. I hope they base a video game off of it.

Lame
Everything is going "Zombie" these days. Or Vampire. Or Werewolf. But those "zombified" titles are terrible. Just replacing a random word with "Zombie" or "Undead" doesn't make it funny or clever.

You fucking said it man, the zombie stuff is starting to stink like rotten corpses. Every time I hear someone mention that God awful book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies I want to puke.

Saw the Clone Wars episode.
Not bad actually, The Clone Wars has gone a LONG way from that poor excuse for of a 'Star Wars' movie. Great animation and action.
