Zooey Deschanel to Enchant some Numbers

Alright, so I don't usually base entire stories off of 25-word Twitter announcements from Production Weekly, but I make an exception when they have to do with my uber-crush, Zooey Deschanel.

Deschanel has been cast in ENCHANTRESS OF NUMBERS where she’ll be playing Ada Lovelace, a countess and math genius who helped Charles Babbage design an “analytical engine,” which are the ancient forerunners of our modern computers.

The film is being helmed by DRIVING MISS DAISY director Bruce Beresford, and could be Zooey’s chance to breakout from her status as queen of the Manic Pixie Dream Girls, though not to say that's a bad throne to occupy.

And yes, I realize that’s Katy Perry up there on the right, just a little joke for you as the two could be clones. To make up for that, here are two shots of the lovely Deschanel below:

Extra Tidbit: Zooey's sister is Emily Deschanel, that chick from Bones.
