A teen girl suffering from dyslexia has trouble fitting in at school or making friends and her situation only worsens when her parents decide to divorce. Because she has trouble dealing with her new stepfather, her mother sends her off to Northern Canada to live with her father and gets in trouble in the small town for stealing a bike but eventually begins to find a way to fit in and becomes wrapped up in a poacher’s scheme to set up bear traps in the local area. Most describe the movie as being the Canadian version of the American After-School-Specials.
