New poster for Disney’s Secretariat is about as basic as you can get

I think in a case like this, I would actually prefer floating heads. Floating horse heads. The latest poster for SECRETARIAT is below, and it is one Plain Jane of a one sheet if I ever saw one.

I’m also going to guess that this film will make me wanna cry like a little bitch. Touching, inspirational films about animals – particularly horses – for some reason manipulate me in just the right way (e.g. HIDALGO). And it’s a Disney movie to boot. So yeah, it’ll definitely turn me into a blubbering vagina. *sigh*

SECRETARIAT impossibly races into hearts everywhere on October 8th.

Synopsis: Based on the remarkable true story, SECRETARIAT chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery—with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)—manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time.
