New Sherlock trailer! Nov. 4, 2009

Source: MTV

Finally, we have a new look at SHERLOCK HOLMES in a new trailer from MTV. I could only watch the first one, however awesome it was, so many times before I wanted more, and I would say that this trailer is about 60% new footage we haven’t seen before, and has me just as excited as the first.

At this point, after watching lackluster work like REVOLVER and ROCKNROLLA, I didn’t really think Guy Ritchie had a movie like this in him, but he’s been greatly aided by Downey Jr. and Jude Law here, who are creating characters that are already memorable, despite that only about four minutes of footage from the film has actually been released.

Check out the trailer below, and stay tuned for an HD version when it comes.

Extra Tidbit: Also, Rachel McAdams removes more clothing in this one. Win.

Looks awesome. Can't wait. In a world of 2012 and Avatar, finally a winter blockbuster that looks like it contains more than flashy special effects.

Now that looks terrific. Sure, it's fantastical but why not have a dashing version of SH instead of the Merchant Ivory ones we always see.

I know the purists will think this interpretation is blasphemy ...

I know the purists will think this interpretation is blasphemy but, who cares they seem to have breathed life into the character.

Looks like Ritchie's best film he's ever made, see what dumping priMaddona does?

you're making a biased and unfair statement there. sounds like a smart film with more attention spent on the action than the books did, but done with a lot of taste.

Just knew that some jerkoff would come around and turn Sherlock Holmes into a Hollywood popcorn flick filled with mindless action, explosions, one liners, and hot chicks.

RDJ is my favorite actor of all time (and yes, I was saying that before Iron man came out), and I like Ritchie. and I love the source material. All seems right to me!

Why do I hope this thing lags? We need RDJr to move on right away to Avengers or Iron Man 3. We do NOT need another hyper Sherlock Holmes 2 to take up his valuable time.

By the way, there was nothing lackluster about Rocknrolla. Revolver was weak, but Rocknrolla was his best work since Snatch.

Boy Revolver sure is misunderstood.
I ficken loved it, and dig it more with each viewing. Better than Rocknrolla, which is more boring with repeat views.

I agree with u missphitts, revolver was indeed misunderstood. I still dig Rocknrolla but it does loose its flavor after the first viewing.
That being said I can't wait for Holmes, a lot of people seem to be bashing on it I for one am not one of those people. I think it looks kick ass and a perfect Christmas release!
