I've been a pretty vocal critic of the upcoming SIMPSONS MOVIE yet part of me can't help but be interested. When it was good, "The Simpsons" was probably one of the top five comedies ever produced for TV. When it was bad, as it currently is, I can make it through entire episodes without even chuckling once. I'm not sure why it took Fox so long to get around to making a SIMPSONS movie but, here we are. Russian site Kino-Express has a bunch of new stills from the movie, some of which I've highlighted below. From what I can gather, Mr. Teeny runs afoul of Maggie and the town of Springfield runs afoul of someone. The SIMPSONS MOVIE is set for release later this summer. Click on any of the pics to see the full gallery.

Extra Tidbit: Minnie Driver and Erin Brockovich are among those who will provide guest voices for the SIMPSONS MOVIE.

Fast forward ten years later, the show has become a joke of itself and thusly you have The Simpsons Movie

The show hasn't gotten worse, it's just been running so long only the true fans remain. As long as Groening keeps making it I'll keep watching it. Funniest show in the history of television (well it's either The Simpson or the long canceled before-its-time Upright Citizens Brigade.

The newest season isn't nearly as bad as some of the other recent seasons.

At least it has a narrative unlike some animated Fox shows.

I believe this will be the first traditionally animated to movie to hit theaters in a couple years!

As far as the pics, The Simpson has certainly never looked so good!

There`s a scene from the movie on the "Ice Age 2" DVD, and it`s actually pretty funny! It`s the scene with Homer on the dogsled. I agree the show started getting lame though.
