Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney have all made a legitimate attempt at donning the infamous batsuit to fight crime in Gotham city. However, it was director Christopher Nolan’s darker and grittier version of Batman in BATMAN BEGINS, which finally revealed the man destined to play the part. I’m sure most will agree that the mysterious, distinguished and intense actor Christian Bale is the best Batmen ever! Not only is he incredibly hot, but he is one of the most talented, multi-dimensional and versatile actors in the business. Reuniting with Nolan, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine, Bale returns to Gotham in THE DARK KNIGHT.
I was thrilled to attend the black carpet premiere of THE DARK KNIGHT this past Monday to interview the cast of the BEST action-hero film ever. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Nestor Carbonell, Maggie Gyllenhaal, David Goyer and especially Christian Bale stopped by to chat with JoBlo.com. Yes I’m a fangirl, so naturally I had a moment of weakness under Bale’s mesmerizing spell! Sadly, it was also a bittersweet moment for Ledger’s family who attended the premiere on behalf of their talented son. Check out what the amazing cast of TDK had to say as they sung the praises of Ledger’s electrifying, final performance. It was truly one of the most exhilarating and memorable experiences ever!

At first I thought one of the Joblo writers accidently came out of the closet when I read: "Christian Bale is the best Batmen ever! Not only is he incredibly hot..."
Luckily for them Jenny is responsible for that line. |

Keaton will alwas be the best Batman, Bale rocks and the newer bat movies are edgier and much more enjoyable, but Keaton is God in the Bat Suit. |

I agree with Lazarus, laughing while cooking someone with a hand buzzer is pretty "dark". And I would say Keaton made more than a "legitimate attempt" at being Bruce/Bats. Plus Keatons batsuit will always be my fav, simple yet effective. Not too say I wouldnt sell my house to see The Dark Knight. |

HMM...
I have to ask... How the heck is Christopher Nolan's version more "dark and gritty" than Tim Burton's? I felt that the original Batman was very dark, sinister, gritty. Slightly less in Batman Returns and then WAY too far the other way for the following films. But What really gets me is Nolan's destruction of Gotham city. Where are the gargoyles? Where is the sick concrete? Maybe when I see The Dark Knight I will change my mind. But Gotham and Batman are fictional and so we should be seeing a far more gothic envisioning (I am really partial to the first film by Burton and Keaton). Gotham = root word of Goth... Gothic, gargoyles, etc... COME ON! |

deejay, agreed. joblo, please pull the gamestop ad, or at least don't renew it. the best thing about your video section was the lack of ads. i'll take pop-ups over that gamestop ad any day.
on a more positive note, christian bale is the man and i want to have his children. |
