Saw VI news May. 15, 2008
Source: Bloody Disgusting by: Omar Aviles

SAW VI SAW V is just about five months away from release so that means it's time to start talking about SAW VI, the inevitable sequel that'll be released in 2009. The demented fiends at "Bloody Disgusting" have learned that SAW V director David Hackl won't be back to direct the morality based torture but will instead be passing the mallet to Kevin Greutert, a long time SAW franchise editor. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, however, who've been scripting Jigsaw's elaborate torture traps since SAW IV, will be back to once again pen the torture mayhem. "Bloody Disgusting" was also kind enough to reveal the plot for the upcoming SAW V and it goes a little something like this: (Apparently, this synopsis has SPOILERS so it's been inviso-texted) "Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends." SAW V hits theaters October 24th. Thanks to Paul for the heads up!

Extra Tidbit: You may be tired of SAW right now but SAW VII AND VIII but will no doubt revitalize the franchise. You'll see.

RIDICULOUS
to say that SAW is a forced franchise... they had planned the next four installments after jigsaw died in SAW 3. In fact, they made that clear, hell SAW 4 was taking place at the same time as SAW 3, meaning jigsaw wasn't dead just yet.

The next films were planned, sorry flamers, but if you'd paid attention, you'd see that the films were a work of art.

Costas Mandylor will do excellent as the new jigsaw prodigy.

Every single Saw to come out has had a twist I never saw coming. My friends call me stupid and say things like "Man I know movies and I saw that coming the moment the trailers played" Bullshit. The continuity is insane. Saw IV referenced events from the first three! I'm 23 years old I never had a Horror franchise to enjoy every Halloween. The 80's had Jason, Michael and Freddie and I envied them... Until Saw 1 was released and when I am 40 I can say "Oh yeah?? Well I had Jigsaw!!" Bring it on!! I will be there every Oct 31 for Saw Until they decide to end it. I will be there again when I am 40 for the inevetible Saw remake.

The Saw films are absolutely phenomenal. I get sick of people bashing them. They're extremely unique and it's really quite astonishing how all of them are all tied into one very intricate story--the final two will conclude the story and I'm anxious to see how. The series has a tremendous amount of depth and emotional intensity, but all people seem to focus on is the traps. Wow, how exciting. That's really something to go to the movies for, to see the traps.

Why all the hate for the SAW franchise? I loved SAW IV with a damn passion being my favorite out of them all. The first you can't beat though.

I will still support this franchise till the end. I can't wait to see the next installment.

I hate to say this but This is my STAR WARS saga of horror. I love star wars but this SAW franchise takes the cake hands down. When it ends It will break my heart not seeing another twist I never saw coming!!!

bring on Oct 24th!!!

"I am still among you."

BRING BACK JIGSAW!
Bad move killing Jigsaw off - I spose they didn't know how big the franchise would become when they wrote Saw 1 - Tobin Bell's the best thing about the series and flashbacks ain't gonna cut it - Bring on Zombie-Jigsaw!

WHO CARES? IT ENDED AFTER 3 FOR ME.
I realize milking franchises but this is plain ol' lame. I seriously hope one of these bombs so they stop making them. BUT UNTIL ONE OF THEM DOES THEY WILL KEEP MAKING THEM! Please god don't support these anymore.
