Shia is Indy's son Mar. 8, 2007

The rumors were true: Shia LeBeouf will star as the son of Indiana Jones in the long-awaited INDIANA JONES 4. LeBeouf, who apparently wowed director Steven Spielberg with his work on TRANSFORMERS, is in "final talks" to star in the film. Neither Paramount nor Lucasfilm would confirm negotiations with LeBeouf so any more information beyond this is only speculation. Rumors have held though that Indy finds he has a son through Marion Jones (of RAIDERS fame) and if Shia is playing close to his actual age, INDY 4 would take place in the early 1950s. A lot of credit for this scoop needs to go to Latino Review who broke the story many weeks ago but was forced by Paramount to remove the scoop mere minutes after posting it up. Other sites picked up on the news, didn't credit Latino and word spread throughout the interweb never giving a source of Latino Review. Solid job of reporting by those guys. Filming on INDIANA JONES 4 will begin this June for a May 22, 2008 release.

Extra Tidbit: LeBeouf started his career on the Disney Channel series "Even Stevens."

the kid is fine, another disney money machine, but disney trains them well, hell do fine. but do we really need Indy to have a son. sounds like episode one syndrome to me.

everyone has to bitch about something I guess, I'll give him a chance, there used to be some pretty hilarious moments on Even Stevens.

I'm not too happy about this but if The Spielberg likes this kid then I'll give him a chance.

John McClane has a daughter in Die Hard 4, not a son. Although his character has one of each, only the daughter is going to be in the new one. Played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

This isn't as bad as it could be, apparently in Darabont's script Indy has a long lost brother who returns and they team up, now that would be lame

I don’t know about this, Indy having a son is giving me ‘The Mummy Returns’ flashbacks. It’s paranoia I guess; paranoid that this flick could ruin the greatest action/adventure character ever to be imagined. I know Spielberg can kick Sommers ass up and down the block all day long, but still I can’t shake off the bad vibe this is giving me.
