Yesterday, the peeps over at the IESB posted a scoop stating that The Weinstein Co. had lost the rights to the upcoming SIN CITY sequel. Robert Rodriguez, along with his Troublemaker Studios, was still attached to produce and direct (with “Sin City” graphic novel creator Frank Miller currently writing the sequel) but TWC were out. However, Weinstein Co. lawyer Bert Fields recently contacted “Hollywood Insider” with an assertive “say whaaaaa!?” They said: “TWC’s rights to produce sequels to Sin City remain intact as they always have been. Any suggestion to the contrary is complete hogwash.” Ok, they still have the rights. Well, get to making the sumbitch, motherfrakkers!
