Contrary to a lot of the talk on the subject, the idea of a fourth SPIDERMAN movie is not totally out of the question it seems. Toby Maguire tells Sci-Fi Wire "...it's possible that we make another movie... It all depends on if there's a story worth telling. I feel very proud of the three movies that we've made. I feel like the stories all deserve to be told, and, you know, if they come up with a good movie, and the whole team wants to get back together, and we feel like we can make a good movie that's worth making, then I'm up for it."
Kirsten Dunst - who has never looked better on film than as Mary-Jane Watson - hinted that a fourth would be possible back in February when she said "I would work with Sam on any movie he wanted to work on it with me, because I just adore that man."
I personally think that the continuation of the franchise depends on Maguire. I just don't think I could stomach a SPIDERMAN film without him. It was possible if he'd been replaced with someone like Jake Gylenhaal after the first, but not three movies down the line, it'd just be strange, wouldn't it?
Extra Tidbit:
Maguire wanted to be a chef, but his mother offered him $100 to take drama instead of home economics when he was in high-school.

OH YEAH...
And if Raimi is at the helm... forget about it. Your balls will explode in orgasmic delight upon impact. It'll be fan-titty-tastic. |

I THINK IT SHOULD GO LIKE THIS...
Fuck Spider-Man for a lil while after this one. Start making movies that focus in on Venom and his shit. I mean there are Venom comics where is like less of a bad guy and more like a hard boiled good guy. So after this drop that Topher Grace twat, get a much better actor (Jake Jigglyballs maybe or whoever), throw Carnage in the mix, and maybe one day bring Tobey/Spidey (or no Tobes after we have all forgotten about his glory days as the web slinger) to make some kick ass action. Who knows... it could be something magical... in that it will completely knock your socks on your ass. |

MORE SPIDER MANS TO COME
I read sometime back when the third was being filmed that Sony had signed a deal with Marvel to do at least 6 Spider-Man movies. The question I guess is who will do them? |

AGREE
agree with Phatmaster, powerbomb1411 unfortuantely can't let go of his pre-Spiderman 1 grudges with Maguire. Every Spidey movie takes chances with the casting and it always turns out great, all the actors portray their comic counterparts excellently. |

You know...SPiderman is a very good movie I think most of us agree on that, but eventually Maguire WILL move on to some other projects and some people just have to get used to this idea. If Maguire is reluctant to continue I say the hell with him! I mean, Arad said the franchise will continue with or without him anyways...I say as long as Sam Raimi is on the helm there is future for Spidey on screen. Just let Tobey go...bring Gylenhaal in, give some more Venom time, throw the Lizard and Carnage into the mix and there u go: Spidey 4 - The Awsomeness!
Or...maybe I´m just drunk... |

Funny lil tidbit there. I can just see Mrs. Macguire now: "No, Tobey darling, don't take Home Ec it's so faggy. Take drama instead... it's much more masculine." Hahahaha |

Getting a whole new cast and crew togethar would be the best thing for Spider-man movies and just might prevent it from being yet another crap-fest of a movie the way they have all been so far. |

I also think that any actor can play spider-man. I am also a comic fan, and I always thought if they replace tobey with the right actor then i can see a spider-man film with out him. But then again, what movie has he made since spider-man that did big at the box office? He would be stupid to exit a movie that is actually making money rather then ...ummm... Seabiscuit. |

As a comic book fan I can say that Tobey Maguire doesn't define Peter Parker and any capable actor could portray him. |
