Well, I'm not entirely sure why someone would want to spoil a teaser, but hey, the STAR TREK's has been seen and you can read an in-depth description of what goes down over at HollywoodChicago. Not a great deal is known of the plot of the J.J. Abrams flick, save for that it will focus on the early days of James T. Kirk and his fellow USS Enterprise crew members. As far as I can tell the thing doesn't pack a single money shot of any of the leads, so I expect it to be a little underwhelming, a la the first TRANSFORMERS teaser. Still, I've gots nothing but love for Abrams, so bring it on.

Extra Tidbit: Coincidentally, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (who wrote STAR TREK) also wrote TRANSFORMERS.

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman wrote a shit Transformers movie, so I'm saddened to see their names attached to this - Star Trek needs good writers!

Maybe (hopefully) Abrams' influence on set will be more of a positive creative influence than being around Michael Bay :p

Just got back from seeing Cloverfield...(i live in Australia, was released here today), and the teaser ran before it. And when i say teaser, i mean TEASER. Although, I enjoyed it more than the Dark Knight teaser, at least we got SOME footage! I'm not a Trekkie, but I've enjoyed many of the films, the original series, and TNG, and I am worried about the fact that the writers also wrote Transform...

I'm hoping that they spent a lot more time and effort on this one. Can't wait!

Can't Wait!!!!!!
I too enjoy some Trek but I never go to the conventions or collect dolls and where a uniform.

Its sad to see a great series go into decline.

Hopefully, JJ can give back Star Trek its heartbeat and start a new era of great Star Trek shows and movies

sounds good. I enjoy Trek, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a Trekkie.

Really? Same writers? Well, that doesn't worry me because I could care less about Trek, but it should worry Trekkies.

I think I actually might see this though since I am a proud supporter of Abrams in everything he does, if you've ever seen the man speak you know he's brilliant. Attacking him for Cloverfield is just stupid, since he's just a producer.

As much as I love Abrams, I'd hate to see his film hurt by shitty writers, so lets hope they do good.

And a teaser like this is done on purpose to get antsy uber-geeks to piss themselves everytime they see it, because its NEW but still doesnt show them shit-all. Like Transformers, like Dark Knight, all teasers that showed absolutely nothing because they know we'll still buy right in to it.
