Strike Back below!
by: Paul Tassi Nov. 11, 2009

Alright, either you will think this is the greatest thing you've ever seen, or you’ll absolutely hate it. Hedging my bets on this obscenely slow news day, I think I’ll end up averaging somewhere in the middle.

A while back you may remember Star Wars Gangsta Rap, where Star Wars heroes and villains spit some rather clever rhymes to some rather terrible animation. Well, there’s now a sequel, in the form of Star Wars Gangsta Rap Chronicles, and it’s got the same sound and flow with now much improved visuals via Atom. Check it out below.

ALL NEW! Star Wars Gangsta Rap: Chronicles

Source: Atom

Extra Tidbit: Mmm, can't beat the original if you ask me. Vader's "I'm your father" dance is priceless.

I know it's played for laughs, but I've heard better rapping in a duet by K-Fed and John Cena

That was crap. At least the animation was pretty good.

Original better
I like the original better. When I was in college and the old one came out, we were playing it a lot and laughed our asses off.

That was awesome. I think the actual rap needed something to break up its really flat structure, but the lyrics were great and the animation was sweet. Watching again.

that's some great animation and a good lyrics, but what sells it for me is the use of the different famous rap styles. If you know your Star Wars AND hip hop history then this works even better.

Although Obi Wan totally should've been Snoop, rather than Flavor Flav (also, if he IS Flav, there where's those trademark short, staccato flows?)

Great video all around, but I wouldn't say it uses any be one style (some references, but everything is totally at the same beat, no breakdowns, no refrain-type segments etc)

Not Bad
Some nice little homages to the Beastie Boys and few other old school rappers.
