50 Cent might be a part of The Predator

It's easy to get excited about the prospect of THE PREDATOR, another sequel to the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger action classic that lacks the article of the new title. Shane Black is involved. Schwarzenegger could be involved. The scope and vision is believed to be much larger. Things seem to be on the up and up for a film that might otherwise be meet with skepticism, given the pedigree of the PREDATOR franchise (PREDATOR 2, PREDATORS, those damn ALIEN VS. PREDATOR movies). 

But your enthusiasm for THE PREDATOR might have to take a slight punch to the gut for the moment with the news that Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, may be getting involved in the film somehow someway. In fact, something must be going on there with him being a part of the film, because he can't seem to shut up about it. 

In an interview with DJ Enuff’ on satellite radio Sirius XM’s Shade 45, 50 Cent remarked on what he's doing lately with this: "I’ll be doing some new feature films and stuff like that too. I’ll do PREDATOR.”

While that hardly seems like concrete evidence of his participation, he then did another interview with 99 Jamz UnCensored where he once again reiterated talks about THE PREDATOR: "I’m working on some new projects. You heard of the movie PREDATOR? I might be a part of that project this summer.”

The key word there is "might," so it isn't 100% that 50 Cent is going to be in the next movie… but then again, even if he is, would it really be so bad? I mean, there needs to be some muscled dudes in the cast for the Predator to kill for our entertainment, right?

THE PREDATOR is currently on the calendar for a March 2, 2018 release.
