Mark Hamill discovers painting in a hotel that reminds him of Carrie Fisher

Sometimes, when people you love pass away, others will often console you by saying that the dearly departed will always be watching over you. Perhaps this is the case for STAR WARS legend Mark Hamill, who discovered a painting in his London hotel room that included a figure who looks an awful lot like his Star Wars co-star and beloved friend, Carrie Fisher.

"Sooooo…. Look who I found looking over my shoulder in a painting on the wall of my London hotel room. Coincidence? I DON'T THINK SO! #AlwaysWithMe," Hamill tweeted along with the painting.

Needless to say, Hamill wasn't the only one taken by the evocative image. Fans of STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE were quick to point out that the figure in the painting is striking a pose that is uncannily similar to the one Princess Leia displays when Luke Skywalker first enters Leia's detention cell on the Death Star. Now, is this a coincidence? Or, is it perhaps some cosmic wave of hello from a loving friend who's off on an adventure in the Great Beyond? Either way, it sure is a nice thought. And hey, sometimes finding comfort in the little things can help ease the pain of losing a loved one, even if it's just for a few fleeting moments.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is set to arrive on Blu-Ray and DVD on March 27th. And may the force be with you, always.
