Races come together to fight the power in groovy BlacKkKlansman trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. It’s the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organization aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream.

As you can see from the above trailer, Lee has applied his signature groove to an important yet ugly part of American history, with the interest of telling the harrowing tale of one of the greatest undercover assignments ever executed. Produced by Sean McKittrick, Raymond Mansfield, Jason Blum, Jordan Peele, Spike Lee, and Shaun Redick, BLACKKKLANSMAN stars John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier and Topher Grace as the odious David Duke, former Grand Wizard of the Klu Klux Klan.

BLACKKKLANSMAN will look to open some eyes, expose harsh truths, and deliver a powerful true-life story of black and white officers coming together to bring down one of the most hated groups in history, the KKK. The film will look to entertain those with an open mind and beyond beginning on August 10th, ya dig?
