It's time to talk what everyone else has been babbling about this week. That's right! The new PAN poster that debuted on Tuesday! We've all been waiting for a second trailer to see if director Joe Wright can bring something new to the table, and while we don't have that, it looks like Hugh Jackman is making good with his fans by unleashing a new teaser via his Instagram account. There's not a whole lot that's new here, but we get a surprisingly intimate moment between the film's villain and hero, as well as Tiger Lily engaging in some action. Bring on the green screen!
I want to believe that there is a good Peter Pan movie out there (animated fare aside), but I've yet to see it. When I heard that Joe Wright (ATONEMENT, HANNA) would be taking a crack at it, I hoped for the best. The man definitely has a lot more hits than misses, but aside from a song that makes me want to go punch a baby penguin in the face, what's been in the previews so far does NOT have me convinced. Here's hoping that when the second trailer does arrive, it can turn a few heads.
PAN will be released on July 24, 2015.
