Alice Eve joins the cast for Season 2 of Marvel’s Iron Fist

We've just learned via Variety that Alice Eve is joining the cast of Marvel's IRON FIST for the show's sophomore season. For the moment, the role of the SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE and STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS actor is being kept under a cloak of shadows. Eve will join the comic book-related program's returning cast members Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup, and Sacha Dhawan for what I can only assume will be another battle against the nefarious criminal organization known as The Hand.

Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television and series executive producer, recently stated the following in regard to Eve joining the show: “We are very excited to have an actress of Alice’s stature join the cast of ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist. Her exceptional talent brings an intrigue and danger to her character unlike anyone else.”

If you happen to have missed the first season of IRON FIST (or were smart enough to avoid watching it entirely), it tells the story of Danny Rand as he returns to New York City, after being presumed dead for the past 15 years. While away, Danny trained in the mystical city of K'un-Lun, and eventually earned the position of being the city's protector as The Immortal Iron Fist. Thankfully, Raven Metzner will take over for Scott Buck as showrunner for the second season of IRON FIST, who left the show to work on Marvel's INHUMANS – and we all know how that turned out.

The second season of IRON FIST has recently begun filming and is expected to debut sometime in 2019.
