Cameron Crowe's (ALMOST FAMOUS, JERRY MAGUIRE) latest has been in the can for some time now, but now ALOHA is almost upon us and the first trailer is here! The story follows that of a celebrated military contractor (Bradley Cooper) who returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs – the US Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii – and reconnects with a long-ago love (Rachel McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Emma Stone). That synopsis may seem like a bit of a spoiler, but the trailer gives it all away regardless. Add to that concoction the acting talents of Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, and Alec Baldwin, and you've got yourself a hell of a cast for a Cameron Crowe film!

JERRY MAGUIRE, ALMOST FAMOUS and VANILLA SKY rank up there with some of my favorite films, so as you can imagine, I've been craving a great Cameron Crowe flick like no other! ALOHA seems to have all the ingredients, including a very charismatic cast, but I'd be lying if I said the trailer didn't make this flick feel a little paint-by-numbers. Regardless, I'm willing to check this bad boy out and hope for the best, if only for Emma Stone in those aviators.

ALOHA will be released on May 29, 2015.
