Jason Momoa signs on to star in Apple’s drama series See

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

My man! Jason Momoa, also known as the man who should have won People's Sexiest Man of the Alive of 2018, has set his sights on leading Apple's upcoming original drama series SEE. Hailing from PEAKY BLINDERS and TABOO co-creator Steven Knight, SEE is being described as a world-building drama set in the future. As the program's leading man, Momoa will star as Baba Voss, a fearless warrior, leader and guardian. No further details about Apple's eight-episode series is available at this time, though that doesn't mean that we can't start getting excited about the prospect of more Momoa.

Clacking the screenplay into a guarded laptop for SEE will be Steven Knight (DIRTY PRETTY THINGS, WESTERN PROMISES), while RED SPARROW and CONSTANTINE helmer Francis Lawrence is set to direct the series. It's also been reported that Knight and Lawrence will join forces to executive produce the drama for Chernin Entertainment/Endeavor Content in a partnership with studio's Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.

As you are well aware, Momoa is set to defend the high seas as Arthur Curry for James Wan and DC Entertainment's AQUAMAN this holiday season. A much-anticipated trailer for the aquatic comic book adventure is expected to wash ashore at this year's San Diego Comic Con event, and you can bet your ass that we'll be there to bring you the goods. Here's hoping for great things from SEE, as the project sounds very cool indeed.

AQUAMAN will swim into cinemas beginning on December 21st.
