7:31 PM EST: Hey there!  Starting a little early here everyone!  In my tuxedo shirt and boxer shorts with some french onion dip and a lot of beers.  Nothing harder to sit through than the red carpet show.  Joseph Gordon-Levitt is being asked about his socks.  What the f*ck…

7:32 PM: Huge protest is still top news story of the night. Check out the Deadline story about those supporting Rhythym & Hues and their bankruptcy issues.

7:38 PM: Bradley Cooper just helped Kristin Chenoweth with her shoe.  What a gentleman.

7:42 PM: Hot damn, Charlize Theron.  Hot.  Damn.

7:46 PM: I like the Oscars having some young college kids present the statuettes to their precursors who have already sold out to the studio system.

7:50 PM: Ben Affleck still has the ARGO beard.  Way to commit, brother!

7:54 PM: This Oscar Mystery box is f*cking stupid.  Every person asked looks like they want to shoot themselves.

8:03 PM:  Halle Berry may make shitty movies exclusively now, she is still super hot.  Wow.

8:06 PM: George Clooney looks like Ernest Hemingway but still super cool.

8:11 PM: Crazy bitch just put Chobani yogurt on chili.  Gross.

8:14 PM: The Oscar Mystery is solved!  The ruby slippers from THE WIZARD OF OZ.  What a letdown,

8:16 PM: Kelly Rowland just cut away from Jamie Foxx giving some details on a directorial effort he is doing with Ron Howard for the Canon Project Imagin8tion.  Damn it!

8:18 PM: 12 more minutes of this red carpet fiasco of people with microphones aurally fellating every single star in Hollywood.

8:23 PM: Kristin Chenoweth just played a stupid joke about antacid with the Oscar producers and the dipshits didn’t know what to do as they cut away.  Not a good sign.

8:23 PM: WTF happened to Renee Zellweger’s face???

8:26 PM:

8:30 PM: Wow, zero intro.  Tommy Lee Jones laughed!  Seth for the win!

8:33 PM: So much for Seth MacFarlane doing something different with the opening monologue.

8:35 PM: The Shatner in full Kirk costume.  F*ck yeah.

8:38 PM: “We Saw Your Boobs” is my new ringtone.

8:40 PM: I did not see the Channing Tatum/Charlize Theron dance number coming.

8:43 PM: Daniel Radcliffe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt dancing now.  What the hell is going on?

8:46 PM: This is taking way too f*cking long.

8:48 PM: Octavia Spencer announcing Supporting Actor.

8:50 PM: Christoph Waltz for the win!  Wow!

8:55 PM: Paul Rudd and Melissa McCarthy look high as hell.  Another lame bit.

8:58 PM: Yeah PAPERMAN!

8:59 PM: Here comes Animated Feature as well!  BRAVE wins.  Should have been PARANORMAN.

9:00 PM: Reese Witherspoon is much hotter as a MILF.  Odd that they are introducing three Best Picture nominees at once.

9:05 PM: Almost all of THE AVENGERS main cast on stage.  Not used to seeing Robert Downey Jr without the Stark beard.

9:06 PM: Samuel L. Jackson rocking the red velvet smoking jacket.  Here comes cinematography!

9:07 PM: Roger Deakins snubbed again.  I cry bullshit!  Claudio Miranda did do a great job with LIFE OF PI, but come on!

9:08 PM: Claudio Miranda sounds like The Dude on cocaine.

9:09 PM: The cast of THE AVENGERS handing the Visual Effects award to LIFE OF PI.  Could we have a Best Picture upset?

9:12 PM: Orchestra played off the VFX guys with the music from JAWS.  That was brutal.  Even Nicole Kidman looked upset.  I think she was upset, but her face never moves so I can’t be 100% sure.

9:15 PM: Channing Tatum and Jennifer Aniston presenting Costume Design.  Aniston looks good.  Channing Tatum talking about waxing.  So funny!  Shoot me.

9:17 PM: ANNA KARENINA wins for Costume Design.  Shows how weak the category is.

9:18 PM: Now that was a short speech!  Here comes Make-up and Hairstyling.

9:20 PM: First win for LES MISERABLES.

9:21 PM: Halle Berry starting the Bond tribute!!

9:24 PM: And here’s Shirley Bassey singing GOLDFINGER!

9:27 PM: That better have not been the entire Bond tribute.

9:32 PM:  Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington looking hot.  Live Action Short film winner is CURFEW.  Man, this guy breaths pretty hard.

9:35 PM: Best Documentary Short is next.

9:36 PM:  INOCENTE wins.

9:37 PM: Liam Neeson is introduced with a TAKEN reference.  So glad he hasn’t appeared in any Oscar winning movies.  Here come three more Best Picture nominees.

9:41 PM: Wow, a Lincoln assassination joke.  Nice one, Seth MacFarlane.

9:42 PM: Hi, Ben Affleck.  Sorry people still reference GIGLI.  Here comes Best Documentary.

9:45 PM: SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN wins.  Not a shock.  And definitely not the best documentary.

9:46 PM: JAWS music again.

9:47 PM: Fun fact; INOCENTE is the first Kickstarter project to win an Oscar.  Nice job!

9:50 PM: Jennifer Garner and Jessica Chastain.  Now that is two-thirds of a threesome I would not mind.  They are announcing Best Foreign Film.

9:51 PM: AMOUR wins.  Of course.

9:52 PM: Michael Haneke looks like Christopher Lee‘s twin.

9:53 PM: Wait, the orchestra isn’t even there???

9:53 PM: Here comes Travolta.  Masseuses: cover your dicks!

9:53 PM: Travolta just f*cked up saying LES MISERABLES.

9:54 PM: Wow, Catherine Zeta-Jones still looks pretty good.

9:55 PM: Just went to take a piss.  Did I miss anything?

9:57 PM: 90 minutes in. 11 awards down, 13 to go.

9:59 PM: Jennifer Hudson scares me.  Her mouth opens so wide, I expect a xenomorph to pop out.

10:01 PM: Wolverine is singing.

10:02 PM: I love that they shoehorned Anne Hathaway into the best song from LES MISERABLES.  Plus shitty Russell Crowe.

10:04 PM: If LES MISERABLES wins Best Picture, I will eat my f*cking hat.

10:06 PM: The 900th OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL commercial.  We get it, you are coming out.

10:09 PM: Chris Pine looks like Chia Kirk.

10:11 PM: Ted and Mark Wahlberg.  Wow, he looks pretty damn real!

10:12 PM: Best Sound Mixing goes to LES MISERABLES.

10:13 PM: Ted’s real name is Theodore Shapiro and he is Jewish.

10:14 PM: Sound Editing goes to…..wait, a tie?  Both ZERO DARK THIRTY and…

10:16 PM: …SKYFALL.  Yeah!

10:18 PM: Even Seth MacFarlane couldn’t keep a straight face through that SOUND OF MUSIC joke.  This is getting rough.

10:19 PM: Chistopher Plummer is announcing the Best Supporting Actress award.

10:22 PM: Anne Hathaway wins in the least shocking category of the night,

10:24 PM: Wow, Anne.  Lamest speech ever.

10:25 PM: Ten awards to go.  Any chance of something exciting happening tonight?

10:26 PM: Just in case you were wondering, LIFE OF PI has 2 awards, LES MISERABLES has 3, and ARGO, LINCOLN, and SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK have zero.

10:29 PM: Academy President to deliver a speech.  Bathroom break!

10:31 PM: Sandra Bullock can barely walk, but here she has the Film Editing Oscar.

10:32 PM:

10:34 PM: ARGO finally gets a win!

10:35 PM: Jennifer Lawrence introducing Adele.

10:38 PM: The SKYFALL theme sounds just as amazing live as it did during the opening credits except for the fact the shitty sound just blew out the speakers on my TV.

10:43 PM: Nicole Kidman has become the ultimate butterface.

10:47 PM: Danielle Radcliffe and Kristen Stewart presenting together to the Harry Potter theme.  And Kristen keeps grunting.

10:48 PM: A win for LINCOLN!  Best Production Design.

10:50 PM: Damn you, Salma Hayek!  I was banking on a cleavage shot for my spank bank!  Oh, I can’t stay mad at you.  So, friggin hot.

10:52 PM: Hal Needham winning an honorary award is pretty cool.  Jeffrey Katzenberg got one to, but that guy already has everything.

10:53 PM: The John Williams library is getting quite the workout tonight.

10:57 PM: Every woman in the front row of the ceremony just got pregnant as George Clooney took the stage.

10:58 PM: In Memorian time.  I always forget how many we lost; Ralph McQuarrie, Ernest Borgnine, Jack Klugman, Adam Yauch, Michael Clarke Duncan, Charles Durning, Carlo Rambaldi, Tony Scott, Nora Ephron, Chris Marker, Ray Bradbury, Richard Zanuck, Marvin Hamlisch, and more.  R.I.P.

11:02 PM: Barbra Streisand showed up to do a weird half-sung, half-spoken tribute to Marvin Hamlisch.

11:07 PM: This ABC diving reality show is the dumbest f*cking thing I have ever seen.

11:08 PM: The 10 year reunion of the CHICAGO win for Best Picture.  What a travesty.

11:10 PM: LIFE OF PI wins Best Score.  It was pretty damn good.

11:12 PM: Everyone except for LES MISERABLES and SKYFALL are lumped into a pre-recorded nominees montage.

11:14 PM: Scratch that, here comes Norah Jones singing the song from TED.

11:17 PM: SKYFALL.  Is anyone surprised?

11:22 PM: Dustin Hoffman and Charlize Theron are here to present the screenwriting awards.  Seriously, Charlize makes Dustin look like a troll.  No one should be allowed to be that f*cking sexy.

11:24 PM: Adapted Screenplay to Chris Terrio for ARGO.  I think LIFE OF PI should have won, but kudos to Terrio!

11:25 PM: And Original Screenplay goes to…

11:26 PM: Quentin Motherf*cking Tarantino!  DJANGO UNCHAINED!

11:28 PM: Tarantino defies the orchestra and gets another word in!  Hell yeah!

11:29 PM: Tim Burton in the Samsung Galaxy SIII commercial makes me wish he would really make a Unicorn Apocalypse movie.

11:31 PM: The four biggest awards are left and I am on GreyPoupon.com after seeing that commercial.

11:33 PM: Michael Douglas and Jane Fonda are presenting Best Director.

11:34 PM: Ang Lee for the win!

11:35 PM: Could LIFE OF PI upset ARGO?

11:37 PM: Another commercial break?  What the shit, ABC!

11:40 PM: Jean Dujardin to present Best Actress.  I liked him better when he didn’t talk.

11:42 PM: Jennifer Lawrence gets Best Actress.  That will make for an odd HUNGER GAMES poster billing,

11:45 PM: Meryl Streep walks out with no intro to give us Best Actor.  Who will it be?

11:48 PM: Daniel Day-Lewis sets the record.  Three Best Actor wins.

11:49 PM: Daniel Day-Lewis is a funny bastard.  Streep as Lincoln and DDL as Margaret Thatcher.  Still chuckling.

11:51 PM: Jack Nicholson is coming on out, King of the Badasses, to present Best Picture.  LIFE OF PI upset?  ARGO still got it?

11:52 PM: Michelle Obama is presenting Best Picture?  What???

11:56 PM: Best Picture is ARGO!

11:57 PM: Grant Heslov is honoring Ben Affleck for directing ARGO.  A very well deserved win for all involved.  Actually a pretty decent spread of awards this year.

11:59 PM: Speech of the night goes to Affleck.  Bravo, man.

12:00 AM: Wait, it is now Tuesday and Seth MacFarlane just told us the show is not over yet.  What is left?

12:01 AM: Seth MacFarlane will not be back next year.  Bring on Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.  Thanks to everyone who followed this liveblog!  Have a good night!  Congrats to all the winners!
