New Allegiant trailer explores more of The Divergent Series

I have to be completely honest with you… I forgot exactly where in THE DIVERGENT SERIES we are right now.

I remember seeing the first film DIVERGENT and thinking it was fine – nothing special, okay in what it was trying to do, not bad at all… and then that was about it. There was a second movie that came along whose name escapes me at the moment… ah, that’s right… it was INSURGENT, wasn’t it? Yeah, it popped right up there in my brain as I was thinking somewhat hard about it.

Anyway, I never got around to checking that one out. I had planned to, since I already got started, but, if I remember correctly, something better kept coming up in the weeks the film was in theaters and, before I knew it or realized, it was gone. I could probably play catch-up now, if I wanted to, but come on… life’s too short to chase down things you’re only barely interested in. Maybe if I came across it on cable on a Saturday afternoon when I was laying around not doing anything else, but that’s about the extent of my effort.

In any event, there’s another film on the way… two to be exact, since the series is taking the last adaptation of the Veronica Roth book series and splitting it into two parts. That means ALLEGIANT will be first before we wrap things up with ASCENDANT, and if you’ve been at all interested in this story, now you’re getting a peek at where things are headed next in the series, if you didn’t know already from reading the books. If you haven’t cared any step of the way, I don’t think this is going to do much to convince you to suddenly jump into the fray.
