Coreys Feldman & Haim biopic debuts official release date and trailer

It's damn near impossible to talk about films of the '80s without Coreys Feldman and Haim entering into the conversation. The two brothers from different mothers lived like rockstars in their prime, though many did not know of the horrors they'd endured behind-the-scenes as child stars working for a corrupt Hollywood. Recently, Corey Feldman has been in the news on account of his launching a TRUTH campaign to expose and combat alleged pedophiles actively working within the entertainment industry. Sadly, with just 17 days left for the initiative, Feldman has only managed to raise 26% of his intended goal for the project at this time.

While things look grim for Feldman's solo venture, Lifetime has announced that A TALE OF TWO COREYS, a film based on the true story of the rise and fall of both '80s icons will make its debut on January 6th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. Feldman serves as an executive producer on the film alongside Phil Shapiro, Jeffrey Schenck and Barry Barnholtz. Directing the feature is Steven Huffaker, who will bring the story told by Feldman, Schenck, Peter Sullivan, Hanz Wasserburger and Tejal Desai to life on the small screen. Peter Sullivan, Hanz Wasserburger and Jessica Dube wrote the script.

For the film, the role of Corey Feldman will be played by Elijah Marcano and Scott Bosely (adjusted for age) while Haim will be portrayed by both Justin Ellings and Casey Leach. The two Coreys saw their stars rise in unison with the success of THE LOST BOYS, in which the duo starred as The Frog Brothers, a pair of teenage monster hunters. The two Coreys then went on to star in such '80s romps as LICENSE TO DRIVE and DREAM A LITTLE DREAM. They were the American dream personified for the youth of that time.

Unfortunately, the high life was not all that it was cracked up to be, with both Feldman and Haim suffering through years of sexual abuse on behalf of the very people who placed them in the limelight. Eventually, Feldman began making efforts to turn his life of drugs, abuse, and sleepless nights around by getting sober and retreating from public life to the best of his ability. Sadly, Haim's future outside of his youth was fraught with pain, abandonment, and ultimately, his death in the year 2010.

With so many stories being passed around regarding sexual misconduct in Hollywood, now seems like the perfect time to tell the tale of the two Coreys, once again. With any luck, this presentation will lend credence to Feldman's claims, and perhaps allow for him to know a modicum of peace as viewers sympathize with his shared story.
