Sometimes we just need to laugh. And when I need to laugh, I go immediately to the master himself, Mel Brooks. Now, we have covered a Mel Brooks flick before, but this weekend we are going with arguably the funniest movie of all time. That’s right, this week we discuss the hilarity that is Blazing Saddles!

Your’s truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat for two years. We all love movies. No matter the genre, there are always some gems that just beg to be discussed. Whether good or bad, we are going to chat about each and every movie that deserves it.

All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username and password. You are encouraged to bring up comments or questions about the movie at hand, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is chatting about. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.

And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. It’s meant to be fun. Directly insulting someone and/or trolling people will get you kicked from the chat.

Blazing Saddles is hands down my favorite comedy of all time. It just hits all of the right notes! Just when you think it can’t get any crazier, it gets a LOT crazier. The big pie fight and brawl at the end is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. The best part is that despite the fact that this movie is forty years old, it’s just as funny now as it was the first viewing. Not many movies can make that claim.
