Hilary Swank, Michael Shannon and more to star in What They Had drama

Today, it's been confirmed that actors Hilary Swank and Michael Shannon have signed on to star in the major major-motion-picture drama WHAT THEY HAD. Directed by Elizabeth Chomko, the film focuses on a woman (Swank) who returns to her hometown after receiving word that her Alzheimer's-stricken mother (played by Blythe Danner) has wandered into a harsh blizzard. The trip back home then forces Swank's character to confront her past and face her emotional ghosts head on. Shannon will play Swank's sibling in the film.

Swank and Shannon will star beside fellow actors Robert Foster, Blythe Danner and Taissa Farmiga for what's sure to be an emotional roller of a film. This will be Elizabeth Chomko's directorial debut after spending much of her time as an actress while appearing in several short films and television series.

Unified’s Keith Kjarval (INLAND EMPIRE), Bill Holderman (THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN), Bona Fide Productions’ Ron Yerxa (COLD MOUNTAIN) and Albert Berger (LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE)) and June Pictures’ Alex Saks (SINISTER) and Andrew Duncan (SLAP SHOT) are set to produce the film.

WHAT THEY HAD is set to begin production on March 22, 2017 in Chicago.
