Simon Pegg & Ving Rhames take up boating in new Mission: Impossible 6 image

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

We'll soon be getting our first real look at the latest installment of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE during the upcoming Super Bowl, but Tom Cruise has been dropping images on his Twitter every other day to pump up the hype. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT will be bringing back much of the gang; in addition to Tom Cruise, the sequel also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Alec Baldwin, Michelle Monaghan, and Sean Harris, with franchise newcomers Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby, Sian Brooke, and Angela Bassett coming along for the ride as well. You can check out the image Cruise shared below, which finds Luther Stickell (Rhames) and Benji Dunn (Pegg) finding the time to do a little leisurely boating.

In all likelihood, the pair are probably in the midst of assisting Ethan Hunt (Cruise) on some highly dangerous mission, complete with over-the-top stunts and broken bones. It's always a treat to witness just how Tom Cruise abuses his body in the latest MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE film, but the last few sequels in the franchise have also been quite good, proving that sequels aren't always a game of diminishing returns.

The official synopsis for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT:

The best intentions often come back to haunt you.  MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong.  Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT will hit theaters on July 27, 2018.
