Brie Larson marks end of Captain Marvel filming with new pic

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Brie Larson has suited up, saved the world (possibly the universe?) from aliens, and is now safely back home with the rest of us powerless beings. The actress and star of the upcoming CAPTAIN MARVEL took to social media yesterday to mark the end of filming on the superhero flick, and in the process got us even more excited for the whatever magic the movie will bring.

The photo is of a clapperboard for MARVEL festooned with autographs from the crew and sporting a badass logo. Along with the board is Larson's calendar with the days marked off, with the last day of principal photography being July 6 (the day ANT-MAN AND THE WASP came out). There are also some adorable little pictures, including Larson’s character, Carol Danvers, in a spaceship.

The story centers on Danvers, an Air Force pilot, who gains incredible superpowers after coming being exposed to alien DNA. She will be the first woman to get the sole, lead credit on an MCU movie, and her character was teased during the end credits for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. She will be joined in her heroic quest by Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg as digitally de-aged S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Nick Fury and Phil Coulson and Jude Law as Mar-Vell. Gemma Chan, Lee Pace, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou also star in the movie from directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.

Are you all excited for some CAPTAIN MARVEL greatness? We may have about eight months to go before the movie comes out, but this pic remends me that we’re only a few months away from seeing the first trailer for the movie, which means a new poster, which means official images, and then I’ll have a heart attack from sheer amazingness overload.

CAPTAIN MARVEL arrives March 8, 2019.
