Blu-Ray: It’s a Good Day To Die Hard for Hansel and Gretel’s Warm Bodies

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, and WARM BODIES have a lot in common.  They all feature over-the-top action, zombie-like creatures, CGI blood, and dynamic duo team-ups.  I’ve only seen one of them and that was the unfortunate 5th entry in the DIE HARD series.  I doubt an extended cut will improve it by much, but you never know.  HANSEL AND GRETEL was a surprise hit, which seemed to bask in its cheesy glory, opening the doors to a sequel.  WARM BODIES fared pretty well, too, giving rising star Nicholas Hoult another boost and adding another zombie pic to the ever-popular genre. Synopsis:

A funny new twist on a classic love story, Warm Bodies is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack.
