According to early reports, the film is on-track to make a huge splash at the box office, during its opening weekend, with an estimated $140 million dollar return in North America. Should that be the case, the movie will become the most lucrative domestic start for an animated feature, surpassing the previous record of $135 million set by Pixar's FINDING DORY in 2016.

Meanwhile, a new and sinister villain named Screenslaver has arrived on the scene, who is looking to make the citizens of Metroville mindless victims of his dastardly plan.
