The women of Ocean’s 8 prepare for an epic heist in new trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

You'd think that spending 5 years, 8 months, and 12 days in the slammer would be enough to help Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) sober up and move on from her life of crime, right? This is where you'd be wrong. You see, Ms. Ocean is an insatiable sort, and we happen to know that she's spent the past few years plotting a heist that will serve as the crown jewel of her storied career. So study the floor plans, synchronize your watch, and get ready for when Danny Ocean's (George Clooney) estranged sister and her crew of capable bandits take an upcoming Met Gala by storm for OCEAN'S 8.

Directed by Gary Ross, the newest film in the Oceans franchise will gather Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina, and Sarah Paulson alongside Sandra Bullock for a clever evening stealth, deception, and dangerously dressed ladies looking to score a stunning piece of jewelry from one of New York City's most illustrious celebrations.

I'm also happy to report that, yes, the film will feature several direct tie-ins to Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s trilogy, with actors such as Matt Damon and Carl Reiner rumored to be making an apperance in the feature as their characters Linus Caldwell and Saul Bloom, respectively.

The OCEAN'S 8 crew are planning to infiltrate theaters beginning on June 8th. Be sure to wear your suit and tie, or a fancy dress, to the theater, as this is sure to be quite the affair.
