You may recall that the POLTERGEIST remake, directed by Gil Kenan, was bumped up a full two months to open on May 22nd. If not, 20th Century Fox has you covered with the latest trailer about a family's home invaded by evil spirits. Those of you familiar with the original will know what to expect, and those of you who haven't seen it may want to steer clear from TVs for a little while.

As previously mentioned, it doesn't look like Kenan's vision of the classic Tobe Hooper/Steven Spielberg flick is going to stray much from the source material, but it probably doesn't need to in order to turn a quick buck. At least the filmmakers were smart enough to hire players like Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt. I know we'll all miss Zelda Rubinstein, but Jared Harris killed it in Mad Men (read up on our Binge Review here), so I'm sure he'll do fine. The question is: will anyone head to theaters to see this?

POLTERGEIST will hit theaters on May 22, 2015.
