Given the cast involved, JOY almost feels like more of the same from David O. Russell. I suppose that can go either way considering how much you enjoy his films, but there's something about this that is just not grabbing me. Maybe it's due to the fact that there's so much going on in December, that overshadows this one. Still, it looks like the kind of flick that will garner some obligatory Oscar nominations.
JOY will open in theaters on December 25, 2015.
