AMC brings The Right Stuff back to select theaters in honor of John Glenn

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Given the recent loss of aviator/engineer/astronaut John Glenn, select AMC theaters in the US will be screening Philip Kaufman's space travel drama, THE RIGHT STUFF. The film follows the story of the original Mercury 7 astronauts and their seat-of-the-pants approach to the space program, including the first American to orbit the Earth, John Glenn. THE RIGHT STUFF will screen in 95 US locations today at 7 p.m., as well as Tuesday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

AMC CEO Adam Aron:

John Glenn was a true American hero who helped us all expand the reach of our dreams, and we’re honored to make his incredible story available again on the big screen.

You can click HERE to see if there's any theaters in your area screening THE RIGHT STUFF this week. Given that ROGUE ONE opens this weekend, I'd say prefacing that experience with a real-life space travel story would be a fun way to kick things off. It's been some time since I've seen THE RIGHT STUFF, but it certainly features a stellar cast and fascinating story.
