ZOOTOPIA really took a lot of viewers by surprise when it arrived in theaters. Many were expecting a cutesy and sometimes funny film meant for families, but very few anticipated such a deep film from Disney that dealt with issues of race and bias and… yeah, it's a pretty loaded film.

But ZOOTOPIA wasn't built in a day. A lot of work went into crafting such a massive world filled with complex ideas, and a new documentary from Fusion really shows you everything that went into such a project. IMAGINING ZOOTOPIA spent two years with the production team behind Disney's film to give you an idea of the various elements of ZOOTOPIA they worked to get right down to the finest detail, be it the behavior of the animals they'd be using or the themes they'd be exploring.

It is a fascinating watch, so if you've got a bit of time on your hands or are looking for a reason to procrastinate from doing something else, this is what you want to be doing for the foreseeable future.
