Whoo-oo! Sing along and watch the new DuckTales full intro video!

I have so many fond memories of the original Disney's DUCKTALES program, as I'm sure that many of you do as well. Back then, there was nothing like relaxing, after an exhausting day at school, with Uncle Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louis, Webby, and the rest of the gang as they set off in search of adventure and mystery.

Today, the intro for the Disney XD cartoon revival of DUCKTALES hit the web, and thankfully, the new tune sounds an awful lot like the original. Granted, the vocal presentation is a bit more Disney-Pop than I'd prefer, but the show isn't for people like me anymore. For those of you who are wondering, the new theme was recorded by Felica Barton and written by Mark C. Mueller. In regard to the show's relaunch, my hope is that the program stays true to the spirit of the original, while offering plenty of new scenarios, locations, and characters to the mix.

You can check out the new intro and sing along to the video posted below:

DUCKTALES the series will premiere with a one-hour TV movie – entitled "Whoo-oo!," on Saturday August 12th, for 24 hours, beginning at midnight. A month after that, the show will officially kick off with two new episodes debuting on September 23rd on Disney XD, VOD, and the network's digital app. Additionally, Disney has announced an avatar creation app that will launch in July, and Angry Birds cameo featuring Donald Duck in August, and a bunch of comic book tie-ins that will roll out from July and into 2018. Wow, that's quite the impressive revial and rollout plan! Nicely done, Disney!
