Shia LaBeouf has a few tats in new image from David Ayer’s The Tax Collector

Diverting from the fantastical, critically decimated movies he’s been doing recently David Ayer is going back to the gritty, grounded stories he built his career on with the upcoming movie THE TAX COLLECTOR. Not a lot is known about the movie, but it will star Shia LaBeouf in the lead role, and now you can check out a new image of the actor in character, covered in tats and wearing sunglasses indoors like one of the cool kids.

The movie started filming last month and is the second collaboration between the two after LaBeouf starred in Ayer’s fantastic war movie FURY (pictured above) alongside Brad Pitt. LaBeouf has been doing a string of critically adored indie movies over the last few years, receiving acclaim along the way, most recently by playing John McEnroe in BORG VS. MCENROE.  We don’t know much about his character here, but clearly, he’s one step away from dying his hair green and sending people used condoms in the mail.

The movie also stars Lana Parrilla, Bobby Soto, Chelsea Rendon, Brendan Schaub, Cinthya Carmona, Elpidia Carrillo, and George Lopez and will probably arrive in 2019.
