The first two official stills from the Hitman reboot Agent 47

The first official stills from AGENT 47 have been released courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox. The film adaptation of the Square Enix video game series is a reboot of the Timothy Olyphant starring 2007 film HITMAN. AGENT 47 is being helmed by first-time director Aleksander Bach from a script by Kyle Ward (MACHETE KILLS), Skip Woods (SABOTAGE, A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD), and Michael Finch (PREDATORS).

I caught HITMAN on TV and thought it was a loud insufferable mess with some of the worst dialogue I’ve heard from a feature film. That being said, you can’t fault them for trying to make this work considering the crazy amount of money the RESIDENT EVIL franchise is still making and those are also laughable, albeit entertaining.

The reboot features Rupert Friend (Homeland) as Agent 47 and he’s certainly got the look down judging from these first images. The reboot also stars Hannah Ware (OLDBOY) as Katia, Zachary Quinto (STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS) and Thomas Kretschmann (AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON).

AGENT 47 is slated for a February 27, 2015 release.

Did you watch HITMAN? Are you game for a reboot already?
