Seth Rogen announces Preacher will be back for a third season

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Based upon Garth Ennis and Steve Dillion's darkly grotesque and at times hilarious comic-series, Preacher certainly had all the ingredients it needed to turn into something very special, and although there were certainly numerous highlights to be found in the series' first season (I haven't gotten into season two yet), I found it to be a bit of a disappointment. The AMC series wrapped up its second season last month, and now Seth Rogen has taken to Twitter to announce that fans will be seeing more of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negga), and Cassidy's (Joseph Gilgun) search for God.

Preacher hasn't exactly gathered a huge audience over its two seasons, but AMC obviously has enough faith in the series to bring it back for another year. Those who have kept up with Preacher over its second season, do you feel as though it was an improvement over the first? If not, what could be done to improve the upcoming season?

As the man said, Preacher will be back on AMC in 2018.
