Now Playing in Your Living Room

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I think we can all agree that movie tickets are more than a little overpriced. Unless you’re shelling out cash to watch GODZILLA stomp around on an IMAX screen, or watch CAPTAIN AMERICA face-off with THE WINTER SOLDIER, then shelling out cash to take in a movie isn’t always worthwhile, especially with ticket prices skyrocketing. Wanna bring a date? Good luck – that’ll soak you even more, with you easily dropping a good 30-40 bucks on tickets alone, and that’s without snacks and dinner. Even if you go dutch it’s crazy expensive.

Nowadays, there’s another option. While some movies demand to be seen on the big-screen, others are just fine being watched in the comfort of your own home. Ordering a movie on VOD is cheaper, and if you’re with a date, a lot cozier. Here –in association with our partners at PEPSI PULSE, are some of the best movies now playing in your living room!

JOE

The latest from David Gordon Green, JOE is a full-blown masterpiece. Having played to rave reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival, this Nicolas Cage-starrer is so good that it’s a shame the studio behind it isn’t saving it for Oscar season. Cage’s performance is that good. He stars as an ex-con whose quiet life is shaken-up by the arrival of a young man (MUD’s Tye Sheridan) who’s trying to escape his abusive father. A stirring tale of redemption, Joe just may end up being one of the best movies you’ve seen in months.
