Exclusive: Gerard Butler closes in on Pablo Schreiber in Den of Thieves clip

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

If you like your action thrillers intense and chaotic, then DEN OF THIEVES has you covered. The thriller starring Gerard Butler, Pablo Schreiber, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and O'Shea Jackson Jr., pits the LA County Sheriff’s department against an expert band of armed robbers, and naturally, there will be gun battles galore. We here at JoBlo have an exclusive new clip for you teasing a particularly engaging scene where Butler and his teammates are closing in on Schreiber and his crew, all while having to warn civilians to take cover. You don’t normally see that done in these kinds of violent action flicks, so a tip of the cap to Butler and his crew. But Pablo has a big gun, so maybe take cover yourself while you’re at it, guys.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Den of Thieves is a gritty Los Angeles crime saga which follows the intersecting and often personally connected lives of an elite unit of the LA County Sheriff's Department and the state's most successful bank robbery crew as the outlaws plan a seemingly impossible heist on the Federal Reserve Bank of downtown Los Angeles.

Past trailers have teased a pretty intense, hard-edged crime saga, one where both sides are unrelenting in their missions and are willing to go to aggressive lengths to achieve their goals. That could make this a more visceral action thriller than some of the bargain bin action flicks we see making the rounds, and Butler is certainly in his element as a gun-toting badass.

DEN OF THIEVES hits theaters January 19.
